Massage is recognized as an effective form of treatment for many health conditions, such as:
reduces stress and anxiety, increases blood and lymph circulation. It relieves sore
muscle and joint pain, detoxifies and energizes the body. More and more
massage therapists are working with physicians, such as Chiropractors,
Obstetricians, Orthopedic Surgeons, and Primary Care Physicians. Four out
of five patients are seeking alternative methods to relieve chronic pain,
and more natural ways of seeking healing.
Our massage room is beautifully and tastefully decorated to provide you with the ability to unwind and let yourself go to experience the mind, body, spirit connection. Legitimate massage only. Appointments are scheduled 3 to 4 days in advance of session. No walk-ins.
What can you expect on your first visit?
You will be given a medical history form to complete. You will be given ample time to relax and ask any questions prior to your massage. This is your time to explain to the therapist what areas you would like the therapist to concentrate on, or to express any of your physical concerns. Let your therapist know if you have any medical or physical conditions, which contraindicate certain types of treatment.
It is recommended that you use the restroom before your session begins. Do not eat for two hours before your session, so that you may feel comfortable.
The therapist will escort you into the massage room and explain how you should get ready for your session. The therapist will leave the massage room and allow you to undress for your massage. Draping will be employed for traditional massage. For all other therapies loose fitting clothes are best. Remove any unnecessary jewelry that could cause scratching or interfere with the massage. If you wear glasses or contact lenses, consider removing them. It will add to a more relaxing massage experience.
Quieting yourself will allow you to tune in to your experience and relax more. It will also allow the therapist to be more focused during the massage. Breathe in deeply through your nostrils, hold to the count of 7, and slowly exhale through your mouth. Make sure your completely exhale. This will help you get focused and relaxed.
Sometimes during a massage or other type of treatment, emotions will surface and you may feel the need to release these emotions by crying. Your therapist will stay with you, and provide support. When you are ready your therapist will resume the massage.

It is a science that deals with the principle that there are reflex areas in the feet and hands that correspond to all the organs and glands in the body. If you put your feet together you will see the outline of the human body. Reflexology dates back to the early Egyptians about 2,330 B.C. The hieroglyphics translation reads " Don't hurt me" the practitioner's reply, " I shall act so you praise me. "
In the United States we have Eunice Ingham to thank for discovering the foot reflexology theory. Ms. Ingham was a physical therapist who was interested in the work of Dr. William H. Fitzgerald who developed the ZONE THEORY. Ms. Ingham worked in the office of a Dr. Riley, who encouraged her to create a chart based on the zone theory of Dr. Fitzgerald. Today we have the Eunice Ingham Reflexology chart, which out lines the reflex areas corresponding to the organs and glands in the body. Other charts have been produced, but none can duplicate hers.
How does it work?
Reflexologists believe that granula accumulations of waste matter concentrate around reflex points. They take the form of uric acid and calcium deposits. Reflexologists work on these reflex points to break down the uric acid and calcium deposits in order to free the "energy flow" along the zones. This opens congested pathways, allowing blood supply to flush and eliminate the toxins from the body, thus restoring health. Reflexology can relieve stress and depression; improve the circulatory system by increasing blood flow ; strengthen the lymphatic system to fight off disease; relieve headaches, constipation, and hemorrhoids. Beneficial as an aid in fighting infertility , also effective in reducing edema, and morning sickness during pregnancy.
A session of Reflexology is usually an hour long. Most of the time clients fall asleep because they are put in such a relaxed state. Our Reflexology room has charts of the hands, feet and ears, and soothing music with a waterfall to help you relax during your treatment.
What is aromatherapy?
Another very ancient healing art. Aromatherapy deals with the sense of smell. We all recognize pleasant and non-pleasant smells. The pleasant ones relax, rejuvenate, and calm you, while the unpleasant ones can make you ill. I use 100% pure essential oils. I make sure my distributors are very careful in describing to me the true content of the oils I request. Not all essential oils are 100% pure as is stated on the bottle. I make sure that mine are. I will make your own personal blend at an affordable rate.
For a therapeutic effect I dilute most of my oils with a carrier oil. It can be very dangerous to use most oils directly on the skin without diluting them first. Only a few can go right on the skin without irritation. Understand that essential oils are very potent. They should be used with care and from a certified aromatherapist such as myself.
What are the uses for Aromatherapy?
There are many uses for Aromatherapy, such as:
In England and Germany, physicians prescribe essential oils as medication to ingest. We do not prescribe this for clients or patients. This is just a bit of information to give you an idea of how very effective essential oils are.
Accompanied by healing and soothing music, the effect of essential oils is very relaxing, especially after a stressful day at work. Stress accounts for 90% of disease processes. Before you experience disease in the physical body, it has been present in the subtle energy layers of the auras.
